Grade 8
PrintGrade 8 introduces functions as a distinct domain alongside expressions and equations, geometry, the number system, and statistics and probability. Linear relationships are formalized through slope and the equation of a line, and systems of equations are solved both graphically and algebraically. The geometry strand adds the Pythagorean theorem and transformations, connecting to the number system through irrational numbers.
