Grade 6
PrintGrade 6 marks the shift to middle school mathematics across five domains: expressions and equations, geometry, the number system, ratio and proportion, and statistics and probability. Ratio reasoning, rates, and percent become central tools for solving problems, and students enter the full number system by working with negative numbers. Variables appear formally in expressions and one-step equations.
