Grade 6
PrintGrade 6 reorganizes mathematics around five domains: Expressions and Equations, Geometry, The Number System, Ratios and Proportional Relationships, and Statistics and Probability. Rational numbers extend to negative values, ratio reasoning is applied to unit rates and percent, and algebraic thinking is formalized through writing and solving one-variable equations. Statistical measures of center and variability are introduced for summarizing data distributions.
