HSA.APR.C.4

Prove polynomial identities and use them to describe numerical relationships. Note: Examples of Polynomial Identities may include but are not limited to the following: (a + b)^2 = a^2 + 2ab + b^2 (Algebra 1); a^2 – b^2 = (a – b)(a + b) (Algebra 1); (x^2 + y^2)^2 = (x^2 – y^2)^2 + (2xy)^2 can be used to generate Pythagorean triples (Algebra 2).
